National Night Out is Tuesday, August 5 starting at 6:00 p.m. on Main Street in Downtown Algonquin. Main Street will be closed to vehicles. Join us for National Night Out in Algonquin, a night dedicated to community, safety, and fun! This free, family-friendly event brings residents together with the Algonquin Police Department, Public Works, and Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Department to promote neighborhood spirit and public safety.
The Village Board Meeting will be held at the Historic Village Hall, 2 South Main Street at 8:00 p.m. Agenda items include: approving the 2025 Motor Fuel Tax expenditures in the amount of $1,779,635.23; an agreement with H&H Electric for the 2025 Street Light Maintenance Program in the amount of $313,274.22; an agreement with Alpha Maintenance Services Inc. for the 2025 Hydrant Maintenance Project in the amount of $41,325.00; an agreement with Stanton Mechanical for the Public Works and Water Plant #3 HVAC controls in the amount of $225,160.00; extending the issuance of a Special Use Permit granted under Ordinance 2019-O42 for an Automotive Car Wash on Lot 2 of the 2075 Redevelopment Subdivision for Six Months (2055 East Algonquin Road); extending the issuance of a Special Use Permit granted under Ordinance 2019-O-42 for a Self-Storage Facility on Lot 1 of the 2075 Redevelopment Subdivision for Six Months (2075 East Algonquin Road); approve bills for payment; approve prior meeting minutes; a Public Event Permit for the Vigeo Care Center Anniversary on August 13; a Public Event Permit for the America's Antique Mall Event/Car Show on August 16, 2025; approve the Village of Algonquin Kite Festival September 28, 2025, from 11am-3pm at Spella Park. Allowing Amplified Music and Food Trucks.; a Special Event Permit for the Village of Algonquin Hispanic Heritage Festival held October 4, 2025, from 2p-4p behind the Library; approve the Trick or Treat Trail Event on October 18, 2025, from 4p-6p on Main Street. Allowing for the Closure of South Main Street (between Algonquin Road and Madison Street) during the hours of 12:00 pm until the conclusion of the event at approximately 7:00pm; approve the Miracle on Main Event on December 6, 2025, from 4p-7p on Main Street. Allowing South Main Street (between Algonquin Road and Madison Street) during the hours of 10:00 am until the conclusion of the event at approximately 8:00pm; approve a Public Event License for the Algonquin Lions Club Annual Bag Tournament held August 16, 2025 (Rain Date August 17, 2025) from 11am to 4pm.
