Four Village of Algonquin meetings are scheduled for Tuesday, April 15 starting at 7:15 p.m. There is a public comment period at the start of each meeting. Please complete the form that’s located near the Board Room entrance and hand completed form to the Village Clerk.

A Public Hearing for the proposed creation of Special Service Area Number 3, for Spectrum Algonquin and the levy of a special tax is at 7:15 p.m. (Note: SSA would be in place so if the landowner failed to maintain the stormwater detention the Village would be reimbursed for maintaining this area.)
The Liquor Commission Meeting will begin at 7:20 p.m.
The Village Board Meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. Agenda items discussed at the previous Committee of the Whole Meeting, along with approving the Budget; implementing a Municipal Grocery Retailer’s Occupation tax and Municipal Grocery Service Occupation Tax; approving the Capital Improvement Plan and a public event permit for the Algonquin Aces Memorial Weekend Bash Softball Tournament.

A Committee of the Whole Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the board room at 2200 Harnish Drive. New Police Officers Cedillo and Winchell will take the oath of Office. The Village Board will be discussing the following agenda items: a Public Event/Entertainment License for the Algonquin Aces Memorial Weekend Bash Softball Tournament May 23 – 25, 2025, at Algonquin Lakes Park and Kelliher Park Fields; non-exclusive Licensing Agreement with Knockout Management, LLC and Cattleman’s Burger and Brew, Inc. for the use of certain Village property; and an Affiliation Agreement with AAYO for the 2025 Season. There will also be a presentation from MD Health Pathways. There will be a public comment period after the Officers take the Oath of Office. From the Village of Algonquin: The Village of Algonquin invites you to our Annual Egg Hunt! This year’s event will take place at Algonquin Lakes Park., 700 Lake Plumleigh Way from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.. This event is designed for younger children and includes an opportunity to visit with the Bunny before and after the egg hunt.
Families are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy activities with our sponsors and take photos with the Bunny, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The egg hunt will start promptly at 10:00 a.m., so please be in your designated area beforehand.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, the egg hunt will be divided into age groups: 0-2 years, 3-5 years, and 6 years and older. A designated area will also be available for participants requiring special assistance.
