Village Board/Committee of the Whole Meetings - Tuesday, Oct. 19
Two Village of Algonquin meetings are scheduled on Tuesday, October 19th at 2200 Harnish Drive starting at 7:30 p.m. The Village Board meeting will be adopting a resolution for emergency watermain repair for Victoria Court with Martam Construction; approving a seasonal event permit for Algonquin Lions Club Christmas tree sales for Nov. 11-Dec. 23; approving a event/entertainment license for the Algonquin Lions Club Thanksgiving 5K on Nov. 25; approving bills for payment; approving previous meeting minutes; passing a resolution authorizing the acquisition of 7 South Main Street; and presentation on Comprehensive Annual Financial report/supplementary information. The Committee of the Whole will begin at 7:45 p.m. or immediately following the Board meeting. Agenda items include: Algonquin Advantage Economic Dev. presentation; amendment to Ch. 21.10 of Algonquin Municipal Code; consider annex, preliminary plat of subdivision, preliminary PUD, and zoning annexation (NorthPoint Alg. Harnish Drive Construction
Harnish Drive Construction (from Public Works): The contractor will continue to remove concrete, as well as work to frame, grade and place concrete for curb and gutter, sidewalk and driveway aprons.
On Chatham Circle, they will begin concrete removal, as well as framing for curb and gutter and sidewalk. In addition, you will see crews placing temporary asphalt patches over storm sewer trenches on Harnish Drive.
Main Street Construction
Main Street Construction Update (from Public Works): This past week, contractors removed and replaced curb and gutter on North Harrison Street. In addition, ongoing work to relocate utilities on North Main Street continued.

McHenry Co. Division of Transportation - Randall Rd. Update
Randall Road Construction update (from McHenry County Division of Transportation): This week the contractor began installation of the permanent pavement markings, starting with the stop bars and pedestrian cross walks at the Randall Road and Algonquin Road intersection. Permanent traffic signal preparations for activation is ongoing — with a target of starting to turn these on by the end of next week.
